Terms and conditions

  • Scheduled tutorials will take place on the day, at the time agreed by the tutor and the tutee(s).

  • In the absence of 24 hours’ notice of cancellation, the full tuition fee will be incurred unless the lesson can be rescheduled in the same week.

  • Transport costs for home tuition may be charged depending on location.

  • We aim to attain a learning environment where students in groups are fully co-operative. It is expected that students assist, if possible, and not hinder the progress of their fellow students.

  • Our classrooms and conveniences are wheelchair accessible. If we can assist with provision of services to students with disabilities of any description, please do not hesitate to contact us and talk to us about your needs.

  • Students are permitted to use electronic devices solely for the purpose of learning. Students can read important messages from parents/guardians but will be expected to switch off notifications from all other contacts and social media during the sessions (unless there are exceptional circumstances, in which case the tutor should be informed before the lesson).

  • Students may bring drinks and snacks into group sessions, provided this does not interfere with the progress or safety of other students. Please inform us if students have any food allergies.

  • The tutor should be informed before the lesson if a student has any medical considerations where the tutor might need to act in a specific way in order to safeguard a student's health e.g. asthma, allergies, potential anaphylaxis, diabetes, epilepsy, anxiety attacks etc. Parents are welcome to be on hand if they so wish, but it is preferred that parents are in a separate room to that in which the lesson takes place.

  • Any student suffering an illness in an infectious stage should not attend the session and will be booked onto the next available equivalent session. If this is not possible the fee will be reimbursed providing that confirmation of illness is corroborated by a doctor or other qualified health professional.

  • Students must not act in a way that endangers the safety or well-being of another student.

  • We can arrange group sessions where students are all the same sex, if this is preferred. However we wish to make it clear that we fully endorse respect and support for diversity and inclusivity in our classes.

  • We will endeavour to ensure the personal safety of every person within the building, however, parents/carers/guardians must make the tutor aware of any matters relating to the safety of their child that cannot be anticipated and agree to a public liability disclaimer. Students must agree to  pledge that they will not act  in manner that could compromise the personal safety or well-being of other people within the building.

  • While every effort is made to improve grades, no guarantees of specific results can be offered.
